Tomorrow will take place on December 28, the procession of the "Three Saints". The origins of the procession must be sought early last century when, in 1908, the cities of Messina and Reggio Calabria were struck by a violent earthquake. So it was that the nissen, thanks for the narrow escape, they decided to bring their patron saints in procession: The Redeemer, the Virgin Mary and St. Michael. Despite over a hundred years have passed since the earthquake, this tradition is repeated today. The departure of the three statues from the cathedral is due to start at 18.45/19.00.
